Ulrika Jonsson says divorce may also be 'something to be celebrated'

Ulrika Jonsson has said divorce can be whatever thing "to be celebrated" as hostile to being perceived as a "defeat".

The fifty three-year-historic's three marriages have all ended divorce and she wishes society to "delivery a greater tremendous dialogue" across the area.

Jonsson's comments came in her most recent column for The solar as she reflected on Louise Redknapp reportedly feeling "knocked sideways" via ex-husband Jamie Redknapp expecting a new baby with his female friend Frida Andersson.

She spoke of the everlasting singer had prior to now spoken about the 2017 break up with "tones of regret"

"I retain listening to this negative talk and have come to realise that the end of a relationship or, indeed, a wedding should still no longer be deemed a failure," Jonsson spoke of.

"We should exchange the narrative about divorce. from time to time it isn't any one's fault and divorce may also be authorised as a pretty good issue — and sure, even whatever to be celebrated."

The mom-of-four's first husband was John Turnbull, whom she become married to between 1990 and 1995. She described her first divorce as "grim" however retaining on to "that narrative of failure" may have impeded any future relationships. 

She as a result went on to tie the knot with second husband Lance Gerrard-Wright in 2003, with their marriage lasting three years. Jonsson then married third husband Brian Monet in 2008 earlier than they parted techniques in 2019.

The Gladiators presenter talked about she felt "damaged" over her three divorces but best because of "society's notion" and the "horrendously punitive method".

remaining year saw MPs vote to introduce "no-fault" divorce law to England and Wales which is set to come back into drive in autumn 2021. 

"i might love it if the executive would in a timely fashion put into effect the no-fault divorce laws (hopefully this October)," Jonsson went on. "and that i want us, as a society, to delivery a greater positive dialogue surrounding divorce to make the process a much less burdensome one."

Jonsson has stated during the past that she would consider getting married for a fourth time, but that she wants to "idiot around" first.
