Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal MPA Abdul Rasheed has submitted a bill to the Sindh assembly secretariat that calls for parents to marry off their children by 18. The invoice has yet to be tabled.

Rasheed told Samaa Digital that the bill is in line with Islamic teachings. âRising rape situations, social ills, immorality and immoral crimes may also be reduced through following Sharia teachingsâ¦and marrying off toddlers by 18 or puberty.â
other MPAs told Samaa that the invoice is not likely to flow, and making marriage obligatory with out on account that the financial balance of the couple is impractical.
