Ghislaine Maxwell most effective wanted to divorce hubby to 'give protection to ...

Ghislaine Maxwell only discussed divorce with her husband ahead of her July arrest with the intention to "protect" him from "being associated with her," her legal professionals wrote in a movement filed Wednesday.

Attorneys for Jeffrey Epstein's accused madam are pushing lower back towards prosecutors' claims that Maxwell gave "plainly inconsistent statements" about her relationship along with her hubby in her proposed $28.5 million bail package.

"Ms. Maxwell and her better half had discussed the thought of getting a divorce as an extra solution to get distance between [them] to offer protection to him (redacted) from the horrific consequences of being linked to her," the filing states.

The British socialite currently proposed the massive bail equipment — that represents all of her and tech CEO Scott Borgerson's assets — in a determined bid to get sprung from federal lockup.

Her lawyers argued that Maxwell, 58, wouldn't flee from prosecution on account of "strong ties" to the neighborhood — including her four-12 months relationship with Borgerson — and because she'd be inserting each their monetary futures in danger if she did.

however prosecutors referred to as out Maxwell for allegedly telling pretrial services that she changed into "within the procedure of divorcing her husband" after federal agents picked her up on a six-count number indictment.

Borgerson "refused to return forward at the time of her arrest" in July when she made her first bid for bail, undermining her claim "that her marriage is a tie that might hold her in the US," the prosecutors argued.

but Maxwell's attorneys on Wednesday accused the feds of making an attempt to "push aside" the couple's relationship, noting that Borgerson has considering that come ahead and submitted an in depth letter describing their loving marriage within the bail software.
