JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The spouse of a man accused of capital homicide in the loss of life of a Jackson County woman has filed for divorce in Craighead County Circuit court docket, based on facts on Arkansas court docket connect.
Gracie Lewellyn filed the amended divorce criticism in opposition t Quake Lewellen Sept. 4 in circuit courtroom.
Quake Lewellyn was arrested in August on suspicion of capital murder, kidnapping and rape in the demise of Sydney Sutherland. Lewellyn was being held without bond and is expecting a first look date Oct. 1 on the capital murder case in Jackson County.
As for the divorce case, Gracie Lewellyn alleges in the amended criticism that she and her husband had been married about two years.
"That the parties hereto had been married on 2nd day of March 2018 and resided together as husband and spouse until August 21, 2020; and that the defendant has dedicated acts which amount to prevalent indignities, and represent grounds for divorce under the legal guidelines of the state of Arkansas, and that the Plaintiff is entitled to a divorce on spoke of grounds," the amended criticism cited.
Gracie Lewellyn, in response to the amended criticism, is also looking for to restoration her identify to her maiden name.
