los angeles (AP) — Actress Christina Ricci has filed for divorce Thursday from her husband of seven years, and is requesting sole custody of their son.

Ricci filed documents in los angeles County advanced courtroom to dissolve her marriage with James Heerdegen, citing irreconcilable differences.

The files say that Ricci needs sole legal and actual custody of their 5-12 months-historic son Freddie.

Ricci met Heerdegen, a digital camera operator for movies and tv, on the set of her brief-lived television sequence "Pan Am" in 2011. They begun dating the following yr, and married in 2013.
