A queer couple staged a wedding ceremony on Westminster Bridge in London, as protesters from Extinction riot shut off transport hyperlinks within the metropolis.

Activists took a pause from the climate change action to collect for the wedding ceremony of environmental campaigner Tamsin Omond and their companion Melissa on the bridge, which is constantly rammed with site visitors.

Extinction insurrection spokesperson Rupert read delivered: "due to #ExtinctionRebellion, this captivating marriage ceremony is going on right now in the center of Westminster Bridge.

"So satisfied to witness my buddy and longtime comrade Tamsin Omond marrying in this exciting manner."

The couple received warm wishes from others in the local weather circulate, with the green birthday celebration's Jenny Jones sending "congratulations and good needs from the backside of my coronary heart".

As of Monday, a complete of 280 people were arrested as part of this week's Extinction rebellion protests.

London's Metropolitan Police said: "The Met is aware about a few deliberate demonstrations and protests by means of Extinction rebel taking off Monday, 7 October for up to 2 weeks, anticipated to take vicinity across a couple of important London places.
