a group of evangelicals in the Methodist Church is calling on leaders to uphold the biblical knowing of marriage.
Methodist Evangelicals together (MET) has issued a response after the Church announced plans to agree with allowing identical sex weddings in its constructions.
The plans could be voted at its annual conference next month and once more subsequent year.
If handed all Methodist churches can be permitted to host the ceremonies however any minister might decide out.
In remark in keeping with the marriage and Relationships project group document, a MET spokesperson noted: [We are] dedicated to the Wesleyan convictions that the gospel is for all, that the Bible is our supreme rule of faith and observe, and that each one Christians are called to holiness.
"We therefore uphold the biblical realizing of marriage as the life-lengthy union of 1 man and one lady, and get in touch with upon the Church to do the same.
